I am a choreographer, dancer, and teacher who is intrigued by artistic processes. As an Arts Manager I am committed to establishing professional growth opportunities for emerging artists and exploring innovative approaches to audience engagement. My choreography has shown at the Capital Fringe Festival, the Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Festival (RadFest), and throughout the East Coast, Mexico, and Michigan. I have been teaching dance for over 15 years in schools and programs around the country, and served as adjunct dance faculty at Western Michigan University. I have danced professionally with the Latin Ballet of Virginia, in Richmond, Virginia, and with Wellspring Cori Terry & Dancers, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My work in arts management has led to positions such as the Assistant Theater Manager at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Festival Coordinator for RadFest, Program Coordinator for Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, and Educational Programs Director for the Latin Ballet of Virginia. In 2009 I was the recipient of an Emerging Artist Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo. I am the co-founder and choreographer for the Taffety Punk Theater Company, in Washington, DC.
